Decisions that are made regarding which technology to invest in will be amongst the most important a school leader can make. Time and money can often be wasted on technology which either doesn’t work or requires further investment to integrate the technology.

 

I am very passionate that schools with their limited budgets invest in technology that makes a difference to their teaching and learning. This requires an understanding of the ICT infrastructure and the education sector to ensure that all new technology integrates seamlessly and often this is overlooked resulting in the technology failing or further investment being required to get it to work. Unfortunately, I have witnessed too many ICT projects within schools that do not achieve the teaching and learning impact that was expected.
